Tiigsi Initiative is a voluntary organization dedicated to empowering Somali youth and Women through practical solutions that address real challenges. We work across regions in Somaliland and Somalia, focusing on skills development, entrepreneurship, education, sports, and awareness about Irregular Migration and other social issues.
Entrepreneurship
Tiigsi Initiative nurtures youth-led businesses with training, mentorship, and small grants to turn ideas into local impact.
Skills Building
We help individuals develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and digital literacy to increase both personal confidence and professional readiness.
Awareness
We raise awareness about the dangers of migration, drugs and and encourage youth to pursue safer, local opportunities.
Sports & Youth Engagement
Our sports programs and youth clubs promote health, confidence, and unity in both urban and rural communities.

The Tiigsi Initiative Football Cup brought our neighborhood together. It wasn’t just about playing—it taught us teamwork, respect, and gave us something positive to look forward to.
I was seriously thinking about going to Libya like some of my friends, but after attending Tivo’s awareness sessions, I realized how dangerous and uncertain it is. I’m now focused on building a life here, with real opportunities.
